I always like those stories people tell as if it’s the god’s honest truth and then find out they were wrong.

Case in point: in college I was bartending in Sacramento and the girl bartending with me was telling the story of her husband, who worked at a lumber mill in Jackson the day a band saw blade slipped loose and flew at another man’s head.

I said, “Did it decapitate him?”

And she replied, “Nope. Took his head right off.”

As the laughter died down, and it took a while, she said she thought decapitate was from the waist up.

On honey, no … no.

Cut to this week and Carlos and I are discussing Adam and Eve and men and women and the stories people have told.

I said, “Like the idea that Eve was made from Adam’s rib and so men have one less rib.”

He said, “That’s true. Men have one less rib than women which is where the story came from.”

I couldn’t reach my cartoon frying pan and so he went on … he talked ancient times and necropsies—which are autopsies done on animals, which confused me further—while I argued that it cannot be true, and Carlos argued that it was.

An hour later he slunk back into the kitchen to tell me he was wr … he was mista … he misspo …

I smiled and said, “How could you believe that?”

“I don’t know.”

And now I am rethinking everything he’s ever said to me.

The desk is Carlos' from eons past, while the Bible is mine--yes, mine--and is an old family Bible. The statue on the right is called Twisted Kitty and is made of wrought iron. i found her in a furniture store in the Mission District of San Francisco.

This is one of the many pieces of Asian-inspired art we have in the house; there's something about these things that Carlos and I both love. It sits high on the wall in the sunroom, and you can only see it when you enter the room and turn around, so it's kind of a pleasant surprise.

My mother used to do something called Tole painting, which is a type of folk art. She learned to do this from her sister, and my mom spent years painting anything and everything. This is one of the few wall-art pieces of hers that I have and it sits in the kitchen where I can see it, and smile, every day.

And, of course, this is an example of living art, at least until February 2023. The most beautiful cat in the world, Tuxedo.

In South Los Angeles construction has begun a mixed-use development that will combine low-income housing and a new Costco store.

The project calls for the construction of a six-story building that will feature 800 apartments on its upper levels and a Costco on the ground floor; five levels of underground parking would be included in the apartment complex.

Approvals granted by the City of Los Angeles will require 184 of the new apartments to be rented as low-income housing, while the remaining units are to be made available to renters with Section 8 vouchers, including families and seniors in the surrounding community.

Part of the costs for the apartments, rent, etc. will be taken up by taxes on CostCo revenues at that particular store.

Good on Costco for taking part in helping low-income families afford housing.

I told Carlos I was looking for one of those lap desks you can use sitting in a chair, to hold a book while you read and use your laptop. And he was sweet enough to find this one for men.

Apparently Bill and Hillary Clinton have defaulted on paying for their daughter Chelsea’s wedding back in 2014. It seems President Obama allowed the Clinton’s use of the Rose Garden for Chelsea’s big day and the event cost taxpayers $1.7 million that the Clinton’s never paid.

That sickens me until you learn that  … Chelsea Clinton didn’t get married in 2014, but in 2010; and she didn’t get married in the Rose Garden, but in Rhinebeck, New York; and no taxpayer funds offered up by President Obama paid for any part of the wedding.

I guess when you’re supporting the current grifter in the White House you have to lie about other former presidents to take the heat off your Mob Boss In Chief.

This week Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced that the police shooting of Kohen Wiley “was justified” but let’s back up for the whole story:

On June 14, 2026, police officers in Senatobia, Mississippi responded to a shoplifting call that Vellesiya Wiley and her friend Latoya Ferrell had stolen a pack of diapers from Walmart. Neither woman has been charged with a crime, police officials have not released any evidence of shoplifting and Walmart hasn’t pressed charges.

But, according to police reports of the shooting, Vellesiya, Latoya and one-year-old Kohen Wiley were leaving the parking lot when officers arrived. The police drew their weapons and Wiley lifted Kohen up to indicate that there was a child in the car and then Sgt Hunter Foster fired into the vehicle and killed Kohen Wiley and wounding Ferrell.

And the state’s Attorney General Lynn Fitch says the shooting of a one-year-old baby was justified.

Justified.

Cankles says if the GOP wins the midterms he’ll pass a healthcare plan. His party has had the House, Senate, White House and Supreme Court for two years and done nothing for healthcare.

And if you recall it was Fox News, on July 19, 2020, that Cankles promised a “full and complete” healthcare plan “within two weeks.” And yet it’s ben 2,282 days since then and no plan at all.

Do not believe a word he utters.

 

According to the Epstein Files Cankles sent money to Jeffrey Epstein roughly 4700 times. This from a man who had 3500 lawsuits from vendors he fucked over but never paid them.

Ask yourself how come he only paid Epstein.

 

Gender reassignment surgery costs upwards of $100,000 and is a long drawn out process with psychological testing and all kinds of medical procedures but Cankles is once again saying that children children are undergoing these surgeries during a single day at school.

How does this get done for free between Math and English classes?

 

Remember the GOP lost their minds when allegations emerged about Somali-American healthcare fraud in Minnesota? But when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his wife, Casey, stole $10 million of taxpayer money meant for children’s healthcare and rewarded their friends with promotions, Republicans were silent.

The grift is all over the GOP.

 

The GOP likes to say Democrats hate Christians but the facts are that most Democrats are Christian, and what they hate  is people who spew Bible verses on Sunday, deport immigrants on Monday, shoot bystanders on Tuesday, tax the poor on Wednesday, take food from children on Thursday, do nothing about school shootings on Friday, and take healthcare from the sick on Saturday.

It scarcely leaves them any time to pass tax breaks for the rich, but they do that too.

 

Don’t forget that in a speech Cankles suggested Iran could use a nuclear weapon to take out Los Angeles and San Diego. He later said it was a joke, but I don’t find murdering millions of people funny.

 

Remember that all the harm Cankles has done to our democracy, our monuments, the nation’s capitol, our reputation around the world, our allies, the wars, the prices, the lack of healthcare, gas prices, the war in Iran, his family using the White House to enrich themselves, his support of Putin and Kim Jong Un could not have been done without the goose-stepping GOP aiding and abetting him.           

Vote them all out or they’ll just keep doing it.

 

Democrat Representative Jaimie Raskin has new legislation to preserve the huge Cankles banners that hang in front of the US Justice and Labor Department buildings, as well as the “propaganda” signage Team Cankles placed at the National Museum of African American History, saying:

“Unlike [his] project of censoring, whitewashing and fictionalizing American history, my legislation will forever preserve his manifestations of authoritarian narcissism and his propagandistic assault on American History and America democracy.”

Remember as we get ready to vote that undocumented immigrant workers pay almost $100 billion in taxes each year while the top 1% evade $163 billion in taxes each year thanks to the GOP.

The 1% are the problem.

 

The Constitution says a President can be impeached for:

Abuse of power.

Corruption.

Obstruction.

Defying the courts.

Political retaliation.

Election interference. Personal gain.

Undermining the Constitution.

Treason.

Cankles is guilty of all of these.

 

Running for office in 2024 Cankles  said he would pass the death penalty for large scale drug dealers, human traffickers, and anyone who kills a police officer or law enforcement official.

But he has pardoned 100 drug dealers, cop killers and is protecting himself and every single predator and pedophile in the Epstein files.

 

Don’t forget as you go to the polls that nearly every Republican in Congress stood by and supported:

Tax cuts for the rich,

Cuts to the social safety net.

The Iran war.

ICEstapo abductions and killings.

National Guard deployments.

Inflationary tariffs.

Blatant corruption and personal profiteering.

They helped; they deserve to be removed from office.

Georgia’s Republican-controlled election board has asked the Department of Justice [DOJ] to declare the state’s voting system unlawful … right before the midterm elections.

State Election Board Executive Director, and Republican, James Mills asked the DOJ to “prohibit” the state’s use of voting machines previously certified by the federal government.

The request is an extraordinary assault on Georgia’s voting system by unelected officials.

The fraud is in play, y’all, so get your asses out and vote!

 

The Cankles Regime is airing campaign-style television ads using money Congress approved for border security upgrades, efforts to combat drug trafficking and memorials for officers killed in the line of duty.

But Cankles stole it to produce more ego ads.

I guess he doesn’t care about ICE, or drug trafficking, or police officers killed on duty.

Everything he promises is a lie.

 

Cankles claims he will jail reporters who say mean things about it because, ahem, Obama did it:

“Obama used to go in, and if there was a leak, they would say to people, ‘You have 15 minutes, and if you don’t give us the information, you’re going to jail.’ I guess two people went to jail.”

Not one reporter was ever jailed by Obama. Just more lies from a doddering demented pedophile.

 

Every since the story broke about the Cornell rapists people have been talking about sexual predator and accused rapist Brett Kavanaugh’s story back into the light.

I love this for him.

 

Democrat Jim Himes, who will the next chair of the Intelligence Committee, just said he will use his gavel and leadership to expose every crevice of Cankles’ corruption, including that of his family.

Vote Blue to hold them in check.

 

Here’s the way to look at voting, even if you don’t personally like a candidate on either side:

Voting isn’t marriage, it’s public transportation.

You aren’t waiting for “the one” who is absolutely perfect, you are getting the bus.

And if there isn’t one going in your exact direction, you don’t stay at home and sulk. You take the bus going closest to where you want to be.

I mean, wouldn’t you rather vote for someone who isn’t your ideal candidate rather than do nothing and allow the party that protected a rapists, let him run roughshod over our economy, start a war illegally, steal money from us, and generally be a doddering nearly braindead fuckwit?

Then vote.

 

Remember that two years ago the reflecting pool was reflecting, the East Wing existed and was welcoming visitors to the People’s House, and the Kennedy Center was financially stable and artistically thriving. Gasoline was semi-affordable and USAID was saving human lives all over the world, and we weren’t caught up in a war for profit by a criminal regime.

Go vote. Tell them we will not live like this.

 

Cankles says he will send $500 refund checks to people who were enrolled in Obamacare and were overcharged. But oddly enough he’s only going to send the money to people in Red States where the midterm elections are close.

Sounds like bribery, and another chance to influence the election.

“These unbelievable machines led by the most incredible pilots in the world, they unloaded every single bomb, went right down airships into this drug factories really, that’s what they were doing, they were nuclear and drug. They were doing drugs, but they were doing the nuclear, but these drug factories, nuclear factories were hit so hard.”

If you kid spoke so incoherently as this, you’d be down at the school demanding to see the teacher, so why accept that fact that the president is an illiterate rapist.

 

This week Cankles conceded his legal battle with E. Jean Carroll, allowing her to keep the $5 million awarded to her after Cankles was found liable for defamation and sexual abuse.

Yes, MAGAts, that means you voted for a rapist … TWICE.

  

Cankles went to Iowa to help the GOP hold onto the state and told constituents that he organized a deal to build a $15 billion steel mill in the state and saying construction has already begun.

Now, as we know, when his rancid lips flap, he’s lying because Mark Christensen, a small-town reporter exposed the truth that the mill is not happening.

Once again, he’s trying to bribe voters with lies.

Don’t fall for it.

Facts to remember on November 3rd according to the regime …

Korea is good, but Canada is bad.

Cankles pardoned this criminal in 2025.

 

If the $5,000 that Cankles has promised to pay every American adult is tied to elections result it is not a cash payment, or dividend or rebate or stimulus, it is a bribe and will cost this country $1.2 trillion dollars.

This is blatant proof how corrupt the GOP and Cankles are and just know that, like the tariff rebate or the DOGE stimulus check, you will never see one penny of it.

Oh, and …Cankles just admitted to Fox News that the end of the war timeline depends on whether he loses or not; if he wins, he ends it, if he loses he escalates.

“Please give me a provisional ballot with a receipt as required by law.”

I have been saying ever since 9/11 that Muslims are not terrorists, terrorists are terrorists.

Remember the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995? That was the largest terror attack on American soil until 9/11. The perpetrator of that crime was a white man named Timothy McVeigh and I never heard one single person claim that white men are terrorists.

You are not a terrorist because of the color of your skin, or your faith, your age, your gender or sexual orientation or identity. You are a terrorist because you commit an act of terrorism.
