Why Is It ...

… that my friends need to know if I don’t answer the phone, do not re-call me because I will re-not answer.

… that I’m at that age where my mind believes I’m 29, while my humor suggests I’m 12, and my body possibly died during the Civil War?

… that no one understands that giving a fuck doesn’t go with my outfit?

… that when I pass away I need all my friends to sleep at the graveyard because y’all can’t leave me alone all night with people I don’t know.

… that I have a “Why am I like this” moment at least six times a day?

… that every time I have a work dream I wake up in the morning and call out because I’m not working twice in the same day.

  1. I never have a "why am I like this?" moment because I already know.

    1. I know but that doesn't mean I can't have a moment.

  2. I still have work dreams and I don’t even work! And 29, 12, Civil War is right.

  5. LOL!!!!! I love that too when people call, you don't answer for whatever reason, and they call back right away. That's what voice mail is for. sigh.

    1. I literally look at my phone when they call back and say to the air, "I didn't answer before, why would I answer now?"

  6. I'm envisioning your friends lined up in sleeping bags around your gravesite.
I'm 5 years post retirement and I still, occasionally, have work dreams. They're always rather irritating. Perhaps I should put in a claim for payment.

  8. How many nights would your friends have to sleep at the graveyard before you've made new friends there?
My mind thinks I am 37 while my body just laughs and says no way.

    1. Well, I will not be buried so there really is no graveyard sleepover; my friends have dodged that bullet!

  9. The thing I ask myself 99 times a day is "Why is this so difficult?"
