Why does anyone need to spend $600 million of a wedding??? That most likely won't last. Gross and gluttonous.
And you know how I FEEL about Amazon. Ill drive 20 miles out of my way before I order anything from them. I refuse to help the demise of small business and others.
Is Bazooka trying to outdo that India billionaire who had endless pre-wedding parties attended by the likes of Bazooka while people starved on India's streets? Much better to take a leaf from his ex's book and spend that $600 million on providing homes for the homeless. That might make him appear very slightly human, which is something these multi-billionaires have difficulty doing.
π π‘π€¬ Yikes! You started off the Festivus grievances with a bang, Bob!! Now, go make that meatloaf and get ready for the wrestling!! Happy Festivus for the Rest Of Us!! ✊️πͺπ
Although I don't believe him, Bezos says that that rumor isn't true. Amazon is in my backyard and I've ordered from them from the beginning. Less now than I have in the past but I'm still a bit dependent.
Aside from supplying my Kindle with books at times, I am not an Amazon person at all. I don't like its business model nor the treatment of its workers.
Amazon can be quite useful at times. They are unionizing faster than I expected, several distribution centers are on strike, not just one. The will be very useful once unionization is complete and Bezos and the rest of management have been sent packing.
Nope. I won't ever use them, I prefer spending my money on local businesses and small companies who are building rockets to pretend they have big dicks.
As someone who isn't able to leave the house a lot, I admit I'm pretty Amazon dependent and I don't like it. If I can order directly from a company, rather than ordering their goods through Amazon where the price is marked up, I do so. I also hate the Walton family for the way they treat their Wal-Mart employees. They could pay everyone who works in their stores a living wage and supply them with health insurance. Instead, their managers are trained to suggest to employees that they apply for food stamps and MedicAid. I do NOT shop at Wal--Mart. In fact, I avoid it like the plague.
I have checked for tings online and will buy directly from the maker rather than Amazon; and many times the makers will honor any Amazon discount. If I can't get it somewhere else, then I don't need it. And do NOT get me started on Walmart!!! xoxo
$600,000.000 on a wedding???? I can think of better things to do with that amount of money. Food and shelter for millions of homeless people comes to mind.
I don't shop at WalMart for similar reasons even though they are not as wealthy as Bezos. We do order from Amazon occasionally because we live in the middle of nowhere and they do deliver. It's getting so you can't always buy particular items locally and to go to town and spend 3 hours searching different stores to come home without what you need (not want) is frustrating. AND we order mom's Depends which get delivered to her directly at her assisted living in SC. It is convenient. I hope the striking workers get a fair deal. This is the world we live in. My 50 dollar order once a month or so isn't going to do diddlysquat to his bottom line. I would just hope Bezos gets a conscience soon and feels a little guilt and shame for being such a hoarder of wealth.
$600-million? What country is he buying to hold the wedding in?
ReplyDeleteI believe the country is EGO.
DeleteActually, it's in Colorado! I think in Aspen!

I can happily say I have never used Amazon for anything, and I never will.
DeleteI found it easy to order from other places for Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and Carlos, Bob!
A little research and you can do much better than Amazon!!!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Ellen!! π πΌπ❄π€ΆπΌ
I bet he'll have a pre-nup this time!
ReplyDeleteI cannot help but think the amount of money he's spending on this wedding is almost the same amount of money his ex-wife is donating to charity.

ReplyDeleteDo I wrestle the meatloaf???
DeleteThe selfishness of these billionaires knows no depth.
ReplyDeleteI mean, it's his money he can do what he wants but his charitable contributions are few and far between while he lavishes riches upon himself.
DeleteAmazon will become extinct like the river itself.

ReplyDeleteLuckily I stayed away from his ilk and have found it's easy to do so.

ReplyDeleteBezos doesn't care about other people, only his own ego.
DeleteI don't even understand how it's possible to spend that much on a wedding. Unless it's on the moon?
