… that I don’t think I’m old, but I have noticed that my dinner time and bedtime are getting dangerously close to one another. … that the two worst feelings in the world are not having a job and having a job. … that non-cat people don’t realize that cats are better than babies for many reasons, one of them being that when you’re done holding a cat you can just drop it to the floor. … that if you speak to me in the morning and I’m mean, it’s your fault, not mine. … that I take rumors about me as a compliment. Is it because I like the fact that you’re bringing my name to tables I don’t sit at shows your obsession with me? Stay bothered. … that people don’t get that they can burn all the sage they want; I’ll still come back. … that jobs are so clingy; why do you have to see me 8 hours a day, five days a week … or even 6 hours a day, four days a week. … that I don’t get why everybody hates lazy people; we didn’t do anything. … that October is my favorite time of year? I can finally turn off the ac and turn on the heat at 5AM then turn it off at 9AM and open the windows and then shut the windows at noon and turn on the AC, only to turn it off at 7PM and then turn … … that if I blocked you on social media the block also applies to real life so if you see me, keep walking. … that when my boss said my co-workers told him that I intimidate them, I stared at him until he apologized. |
I really do like the bit about dropping the cat. You can pretty much do the same thing with a dog, and in spite of what some people might think, babies don't bounce.
ReplyDeleteIf they did they might be more fun?
DeleteEver heard of eating in bed? π
ReplyDeleteThat's a lethal combination.
DeleteThat last one, about staring at the boss, had me ROFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's kinda true.
DeleteI always enjoy your "Why Is It..." posts, Bob. They make you sound so witty! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's all illusion ... many are memes that I've seen and then I adapt them to suit me!
DeleteHubby enjoys a morning routine of just poking at me mentally, emotionally and physically. Poke and run, poke and run, until I erupt in grouchiness! Then, he bounces around yelling at me "grump, grump, grump!!" π It makes him very happy so I don't remind that I'm the one who makes his lunch every day and my poison-control will fail...eventually!! π€¨
ReplyDeleteI like your style! πππ

The usualπfor today's lineup! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marcia, you have a good weekend, too!
DeleteYour description of October is almost exactly our experience here! As for dinner and bedtime being close together, I'm just waiting for them to occur simultaneously.
ReplyDeleteWe had that day today ... heat in the AM ... then all windows open ... and then almost hot enough for the AC ... and now we're cooled off.
DeleteOh boy, that first one hit WAY too close to home, lol!
ReplyDeletePerhaps that's why so many elderly people eat dinner at 3pm??? Luckily, I'm not there, yet!
DeleteI love your Saturday observations, sweetpea! It's gotten to the point around here where dinner is whenever we're both hungry! Today it was at 4:30 and now he's watching the World Series and i'm here! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of how we do it, too.
DeleteAnd Go Dodgers!
xoxo
I love that last one and would love to try it someday but can't because I'm unable to maintain eye contact for some reason.
ReplyDeleteEye contact is key!!!
DeleteWhy is it...
ReplyDeleteTrump can be lawless
But she has to be flawless
Sadly, even in 2024, I think it's because he's a man and she's a woman, and a woman of color at that.
