Why Is It ...

… that when I’m at home, watching the news, I think, ‘Why isn’t there more kindness in the world?’ But when I’m driving I hate every single person on the planet?

… that I like the wrinkles that occur from laughter, but call the ones between my eyebrows , the deep ones, my WTF lines?

… that my ex once said he couldn’t live without me and I just found out he’s still alive; more lies!

… that I’ve never had a windshield wiper setting that truly satisfied me?

… that people don’t understand that I am worth every headache I give?

… that one of my rules is that we can only be friends if you’re kind of a bitch? Not a full on bitch because that’s no fun, and if you’re not a bitch at all, I’ll scare you too much. But halfway bitches? Those are my people.

… that my personality is basically a mix between a needy five-year-old child who cannot control his emotions, a teenage rebel who makes poor life decisions, and an eighty-year-old man who just wants to nap?

… that I get easily annoyed, but I also get pre-annoyed., knowing that someone is going to piss me off?

  2. I frequently go to work in a pre-annoyed state. It's probably not very healthy.

    1. It probably isn't, but it does happen every so often.

  3. I'm not surprised you hate everyone when you are driving. Nowadays most drivers think the road is for them alone and anyone else on it should give way. The amount of aggressive driving in comparison with just 10 years ago is depressing. And it will only get worse.

Ahhhhhh, driving!! I don't do it anymore 'cause that's hubby's "job." My job is navigation and keeping hubby from being the angry guy who honks at others all the time for just existing on HIS road. Sometimes I remind him that most other people aren't on the road just to piss him off and may actually be doing their best. Other times I remind him we live in 'Murrica (and Texas) where every bad-driving asshole has a gun (and we don't)!! 😬

    1. Yes, the other driving having a gun is always a worry! That's why I try to keep my hand off the horn and my middle finger down!

  12. I am pretty even keeled BUT I can be bitchy but not full on Fatal Attraction---I do have a wicked since of humor---When you have lived as long as I have one can see the shit storm coming and I get pre-annoyed before it even comes---I have always said that humanity has changed a lot since the 60's, 70's and even the 80's---It seems to me that folks have lost their love for their fellow man---As long as "it" doesn't affect them, then they are fine---We have folks who don't even know who their neighbors are---I am fine with my appearance---I started going bald in high school and now I can shine the TOP of my head---Lines don't bother me---I have a good skincare routine and use moisturizer and sunscreen---I don't hesitate to wear a hat if I am going to be outside for long periods of time---Have a great rest of the weekend---

  13. Why is that you have not addressed such questions to a psychotherapist while lying on a couch?

    1. We have a neighbor like that as well; luckily they're the only ones that pre-annoy me!
