ReplyDeleteIt probably moves a little, but most aren't made to take out on the water so they are firmly affixed to the dock.

That is extraordinary and quite unlike any houseboat I've ever seen. A childhood friend lived on a houseboat and it was very . . . simple.

DeleteOh, my, yes! Good sq footage and laid out nicely. And that hot tub - gimme! The deck area? Love it. Only thing I'd change is the wallpaper in the bedroom. Accent walls are good, but that pattern --- does it work? IDK....

DeleteA houseboat has always been a fantasy of mine. First in Amsterdam. Then in Seattle. Never imagined anything this big or luxurious. Wow! But the maintenance put me off. Still, I can fantasize.

ReplyDeleteThe houseboat is of the right size not too big or small. The kitchen is perfect. I would revisualize the kitchen backsplash treatment and the color choice of the cabinets. The black/gray trend is so over. That could be an easy fix. But at that price point the place should be ready to move in with little tweaking. The layout is perfect for me. The place has lots of big windows and light which is a must for me. I am trying to figure out that wallpaper in the bedroom. Not a deal breaker but it might not grow on me. I am practical girl so I don't know how many times I would use the wood soaking tub. That one bedroom that opens up to the other parts of the houseboat and has a large window, with light glaring in, I might want to configure some type of blinds for sleeping in and the sun not roasting me. I love the outside spaces. I just need some type of shade to protect my skin and bald head. All in all a perfect retreat by the water.
I love the location and the houseboat-iness of it all but some of the glitzy accents need to go. Give wood and fire and water and Zen.

ReplyDeleteThree million, huh? Worth it. This has everything a house/apartment anywhere else could have. And it's fabulous. I'm glad you clarified those houses don't go out to sea. I'd be terrified in a three story house in the middle of a storm at sea.

Yeah, I mean some houseboats are made to take some lakes and stuff, but I'd steer well clear of an ocean!

Yes please! Between the water views and the light flowing through the entire place, I'd be as close to my perfect place as possible. That's an amazing property!
