For some reason, he doesn't speak to her anymore and says he's from Texas. He was born there and lived there before moving here, so I guess that makes him a Texan. It bothers me when parents and children don't speak to each other unless there's a really good reason.

He wrote a song for the McCain/Palin campaign. At least Big Kenny is a Democrat.

Love Dolly and saw her on 60 Minutes!

Like you, I watch the awards shows, mostly because I live here next to Nashville and feel that I need to know who the country performers are since I don't listen to it enough to know them. I like some of it but not those jingoistic false patriotic things.Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15718724697267800263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19466193.post-85732572044936839192009-04-06T20:05:00.000-04:002009-04-06T20:05:00.000-04:00Oh, no, we do not dis Miss Reba! Miss Reba is a DIVA, and if you don't think so, replay "Fancy" a few times- it'll make you want to get your wig and pumps on!Miss Ginger Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03494225040016735718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19466193.post-64466042556440564082009-04-06T16:32:00.000-04:002009-04-06T16:32:00.000-04:00Carrie is pretty goodCarrie is pretty goodWonder Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16723949771552274515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19466193.post-42340642033644337822009-04-06T16:18:00.000-04:002009-04-06T16:18:00.000-04:00Modern country? Modern country is twangy pop.

Did you see the Dolly Parton interview on "60 Minutes" last night? She's so adorable! And she really lived the life, too. She's not kidding when she says they were dirt poor.

Hugs, BethBethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05149068921334726430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19466193.post-28271639232489364392009-04-06T12:22:00.000-04:002009-04-06T12:22:00.000-04:00I grew up in a rural area of Maryland and all I he...I grew up in a rural area of Maryland and all I heard was country music. I still love some of it, mostly the women singers though. I'm not a big fan of Carrie, but I loves me some Dolly, Emmylou, and the Dixie Chicks.BlogMarkBloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07055243084906096819noreply@blogger.com
